ZIP TIES! What kind do you use?

I love stainless steel zip ties and used them to tightly attach cattle panels vertically and horizontally to emt conduit to make heavy duty trellises. They are the only thing holding it all together and these trellises don't budge with lots of weight on them even in heavy winds. They will never rot or degrade in the sun and I doubt I'll ever have to redo it.

Over thinking this! Lol. Get some regular plastic zip ties. The longer heavier grade ones. Pull them tight and clip off the excess! Wallah done. I just took some fence down that was zip tied to t posts for 5 years and they were still going strong. Dikes to clip off!

Well, I ended up getting heavy duty zip ties (120 lb. capacity as we have an American Bulldog, lol), made in the U.S., not China. UV resistant and weather proof. I think they'll do nicely. Thank you to all who took the time to answer!

The Jclips I have probably wouldn’t fit around the heavier wire those cages are made from anyway.

Well, I already ordered them, and they aren't stainless. The stainless don't mention how much weight capacity either, and that made me nervous. I need industrial strength because of said prey-driven dog.

The plastic ones will work just fine. Once they have weathered to the point of breaking you’ll notice, and just replace them. They won’t all break at the same time, you’re good to go!

I’ve always wanted a bulldog, until I had a lot of experience with a friends two dogs. The slobber, oh my god the slobber, lol.

Most black wire ties are UV resistant. The white ones deteriorate pretty fast in the sun.

Not sure that wire run will hold up against a prey driven dog, given time, no matter what you connect them with.

J clips can be tightened with a pair of pliers, stainless zip ties are also great as is stainless steel safety wire (I have some securing just about every nut on my jeep).

We will be using both J clips and zip ties, depending on what the task is. Hillbilly, this isn't an English Bulldog, but an American Bulldog. Very different. The English DO drool something terrible, plus they have lots and lots of health problems. The American bulldogs drool very little and don't have the health issues. I've done my homework on dog breeds! Worked for a vet for 12 years. And aart, I'm nervous now. I'm hoping to drive it home to him that he CANNOT go after chickens, but I've never seen a dog like this. When he was younger, he'd attack another dog for no reason whatsoever, and it would take forever to get him to let go. You had to wait until he would re-grip, and then yank him away as fast as you could with precise timing. He's 8 now, and no longer does that, but I still will NEVER completely trust him.
