Hi my two granddaughters and I are now raising chickens . they are a lot of fun to watch .
Welcome to BYC! It's great to have you.
They are fun! Welcome. I am hatching now, should have new chicks by tonight or tomorrow!
oh that's great what kind.
Greetings from Kansas, zoeys roaster, and . Pleased to have you in our community!
Glad you joined the BYC flock.
I have one hatched now. Dad was an EE, and mom a leghorn. When you go with the dad a pure Americauna, and mom the pure leghorn, you get Super Blue Egg layers. I went with what I had..and EE! I will get a pretty colored egg, and, she will lay often! Yes, she.
Well... good luck with the chicks, but of course there's no guarantee that the offspring will be colored egg layers. Not all EEs carry the blue egg gene - in my experience only 70-80% do. And many have only one copy, resulting in only 50% colored layer chicks.
Welcome to BYC! I'm glad you joined us!
