3. Ideal 236 or leghorns because they're excellent at freeranging and great egg layers.

I just refrigerate them after collecting and when ready to use i just rinse them if theyre dirty. Water is always cold because i have no hot water system and too lazy to heat up some water just to rinse the dirt off.

I think the collars make the rooster sound annoying. I have a neighbor that has a collar on his rooster and it sounds more annoying than just hearing your rooster crow without one (not that i find a rooster crow annoying)and i personally dont think it lowers the crow it just sounds like hes...
i would go to your humane society and make a report about them. or if they are on the street lose then just take them to the humane society yourself because technically depending on your laws they would be considered strays if they are lose and not on the owners property plus they're being...
Thats crazy! Are these more prone to any diseases than other chickens? I wish i could get these in puerto rico. These would be nice birds to breed with. Id imagine they would make more feathery birds a ton less feathery.
