Is DNA testing 100% What's happening here?

Did the breeder give you the DNA results as well when you got him? If not, you could always ask them for the results of his testing. If they don't have it you could always get it done yourself. Here's a website to a place I've used and know of a lot of breeders out near where I am use as well. ...

    Holderread Rare Duckling Assortment

I've had appleyards, saxonies, welsh, blue runners and hookbills all that came from or their parents came from holderreads and I was very impressed with them! I currently have a trio of hookbills and 4 blue runners and they're great! I think you'll be happy with your choice.

    Canine attack injury questions

That's great news! If they're able to get around, eating, drinking and pooping then they're well on their way to getting better! I had a beautiful appleyard drake that got attacked once and survived by hiding with only a few feathers missing, then only to get attacked again 2 weeks after (the...

    Canine attack injury questions

That is so awful and I hear where you're coming from! Had my own dog attack our ducks when we first started out and although we only had one survivor, she had serious wounds but she made it through. Got some sort of antibiotics from the feed store and made sure she was kept warm and dry and...

    Post your parrot pics!

Aww he/she is gorgeous!! Don't worry about the beaking.. As long as you ignore it and don't react then they usually learn it isn't fun anymore. Its like having a toddler test your limits all the time haha

What would you put in here?

Definitely agree! I have a single female lovebird and boy can she be noisy! They also can learn and repeat irritating noises as well LOL Zebra or society finches are great though! All of them can come in a variety of color mutations as well so you can have a few that are each different colors...

    Society finch color?

Thanks! Not sure what she is but she's pretty and sitting on an egg currently :) Got her off of someone who posted her with her mate and two female zebra finches for free including their cage a year ago in november. They're awesome little pets and other than being messy I'd recommend them to anyone.

    Post your lovebird pics!! =)

Is she ever pretty! I was told "blue" was a dutch blue lovebird but she's more of a green with a blue bum. I just love all of the colors they come in! Thinking of getting some more.

    Muscovy keepers share your pics!

This is Sunny my 4month old muscovy. She survived an attack about a month ago from something and unfortunately lost the tips of her wings to it but she's doing great now and prefers to be a house duck haha.

Looking to get a parrot. Advice needed =)

It was just a small blood sample. Clip one of the toe nails a bit shorter to get the quick, put a few drops on a sample card, wait for it to dry then send it in. Was pretty easy to do and didn't really phase her at all. They do feather samples as well but you have to pull out at least 5 or 6...

Looking to get a parrot. Advice needed =)

Thanks a bunch! The DNA testing only cost me $13.65 including taxes so it was worth it to have it done. Was pretty easy to do and didn't get any nips in the process :D haha.

    Post your lovebird pics!! =)

Thanks! Couldn't find my old hamster wheel so I'll probably get one sooner or later. She is a bit nippy in her cage but at least the kids know not to bug her and I take her out and she's out pretty much all day and has several food and water stations around the house LOL. She's great with my...

Looking to get a parrot. Advice needed =)

Thanks! The hamster wheel thing is a great idea! Already have one from a previous hamster pet (lived until she was 5 then kicked the bucket lol). Blue was taught how to step up and enjoy scratches and cuddles so its a pretty good start. I make noises and she tries to repeat them. Very...
