13 weeks in a few days, pretty sure it's a Svart Hona roo

Is this little one a Svart Hona? 9 weeks old today. If it is, what do I look for to tell hen or roo since the comb and waddles are black?

Yes, his comb is black and his little waddle bumps are too. I call them bumps because that's all they are right now, they haven't started to drop.

Update...the comb and waddles haven't changed but I'm starting to see iridescent “leakage” of color. So maybe it's a slow developing cockerel.

I'm having trouble finding the FB group. Only a few farms posting show up. Can someone help me find it?

I just checked and his skin is darker than the other siblings. The breeder I got them from does breed Svarthona.

I bought 4 straight run chicks...turns out 1 pullet and 3 cockerels. I suspected as much when the first 2 cockerels became apparent so I went back to the breeder and bought 4 more straight run chicks. This second set of chicks is 4 weeks younger than the first set. As soon as the younger ones...

Here are the same chicks I posted about a few weeks ago. Now they are 5 weeks. #1 and #4 definitely look like roos to me. #2 looks like a hen. #3 I'm not sure ... could be a roo. What do you think?

I have my first set of isbar chicks. They will be 3 weeks old this coming weekend. How do you know at this age if they are cockerel or pullet?
