I have one of my baby chicks that hatched a day ago. She has an issue holding her head up straight. Anyone know why? What I can do to help her? I have pulled her inside so that the others stop picking on her and so that I can keep a closer eye on her. She chirps quite well so lungs working good.

Our 4th one finally hatched. Still have 8 that haven't. Trying to give them a chance. Gonna pull the 4 out once the newest one is dry. Cross fingers that our other eggs hatch.

Ok thanks. This is our first time hatching and just wanting to do the best for our newest arrivals. The first one that hatched took a long time over a day but then 2 more came with in a few hours. Now this next one is taking her time lol. Keeping a watchful eye.

We started with 12....as of now 3 have hatched. Thanks to a half day at school the kids were able to watch the 3rd hatch. Chicks are doing good. Just gonna leave them for the moment since there are 9 more that need to hatch. Thanks for helping earlier.

Ok good. Our kids are gonna be excited to see them but a little sad they didnt get to watch. They been asking since they knew hatching was coming. Thankfully I took a vid of the whole thing for them to watch when they get home from school.

Thanks. She finally came out. HURRAY!!! It also seems that she has everyone else wanting out too. Another egg has started moving more. It is hard to just wait but I know I have too. Cross fingers the others wont take as long. How long do I have to wait to pull chicks out?

Doing my very 1st hatching on 12 eggs in an incubator. Barred Rocks and Jersey Giants. Eggs started cracking yesterday but still not all the way out of shell. Should I be worried? Also have 21 eggs my Jersey Giant is laying on which are due next week. Can't wait to see our little babies.
