I always try to ripen my green tomatoes in brown paper, but when that doesn't work I make green tomato salsa. It is a nice change from my traditional salsa. I can mine in a hot water bath, but you could definitely whip some up and let it sit a few days in the fridge before eating it if you...
Santa got giant Gingerbread men cookies here, but he decided those weren't that great and ate a fresh homemade cinnamon roll that was meant for breakfast instead
We drove 7 hours each way last weekend to pick up my Christmas present from my DH and sons. A 7 week old blue Merle female Austalian Sheperd! She is exactly what I wanted and I just love her.

Would that FB convo be meeeeeee?
Like I told you over there, Im always down to try something once!
But no more pig snout.
Pig snout is gross and so are chicken feet. I think calamari is like chewing on tire dipped in ranch.
LOL, my friend who owns the Chinese restaurant has a...
I think that if they are going into the coop willingly by 6pm it is not to early. I think to early is better than to late, it is safer with predators anyway. My chickens only wish they were in Oz and could stay out 12 hrs a day. Mine have been cooped up for 2 weeks due to the nasty freezing...

The ones he orders are like that too, only they serve them in a special kind of plate with deep holes in it, each hole has one escargot and he digs them out with a shell fish fork. DH's mouth says not slimey...my brain says slimey, lol, I haven't been able fight the thought yet. I...

Not the same kind of snails. These are already doused in garlic and butter, which is salt heavy. That is what makes them so danged tasty!

Oh but thanks to one of my best friends who owns a Chinese restaurant, I have eaten sea cucumber which was not that bad and gooey duck clam (sp?), I only tried one bite of that to be polite. Unfortuanately I saw the thing when it was still alive at the Asian market and double .
My husband orders them sometimes but I cannot bring myself to try them. They just look gross in their tiny little holes in the plate and the way you have to dig them out of there with a tiny fork. IDK why but I just can't help but think of what happens when you put salt on snails

My Dad sent me an article about that! I think it said they had scales too.
My Dh is kind of freaked out by them too. Once my nasty (may he rest in peace in freezer camp) rooster chased him all the way up on our porch I just laughed at him and asked him if he realized that the...
Bag balm is just a vitamin enriched petroleum jelly type product. I have never seen utter cream but I imagine it is the same thing. I buy mine at tractor supply but I have also seen it in walmart's pet department. It is great stuff! I use it for scrapes on my dogs or if their pads are dry...
That was nice of them! I think I would get a Christmas palm tree if I were there. It is 15 degrees here officially but weather.com says it feels like -2. I am not going to test their assumption. I will however be able to tell if they are correct if my Chihuahua comes back from his pre-bed time...
I wish I could fly to Hawaii and open it for you and then tell you if you should open it or not Well actually, I just wish I could fly to Hawaii, North Dakota is not very pretty right now, lol.
My Black Star rooster has an enormous single comb and he got frost bite It turned really hard and pale first and then eventually black. I had even treated it with bag balm trying to prevent frost bite. It makes me feel terrible every time I see it. He is the only one of my birds who has...

Mine too! (O Come All Ye Faithful) I was humming it when I read the title to this thread! I was excited to post it and there it already was! It is a great uplifting song.
I don't get it either, my husband does not get a chance to do that because I will open his boxes too, lol. I think I just like shiny new things since nothing stays that way for long with my 3&4 yo boys around
