That picture is about 2 years old. She was was only 2 at the time. Ruby is a Ideal Hatchery Buckeye and although she doesn't lay the biggest eggs by far she has a great personality.
I've got one Buckeye hen named Ruby that I got from Ideal. She was a little slow to develop but she was a fighter. She now is very calm and even though she's a hatchery bird she is a great friendly bird.
I thought about checking it out but I'm not going to give Walmart the business over my local feed store. Walmart gets enough as it is and did I mention I hate going to Walmart for anything?
