I've always edged the squares with the same color and crocheted them together with that color, too. It really brings things together. On the other hand, I don't know many square patterns and could do it another way sometime as I learn.

We had dinner at the cafeteria here at work. I decorated to make it a bit more special for the 30 or so students we have on campus. One of our student's parents sells vegan foods (www.beyondtheharvest.com) and we tried out the turkey loaf and pop corn chik. They were great! I think...
We are vegetarian, too. We are having garbanzos with quinoa, banana bread, stir-fried vegetables and baked apples. Afterwards, we will watch a movie and eat strawberry pie and drink tea. There is much to be grateful for.
I look forward to see what you all make out of those squares. Meanwhile, I've started on the ones for Spring.
I have chicken news, too. Ruthie laid an egg yesterday. This may not sound like much but Ruthie is 31 weeks old and her broodmates have been laying since September. It's not that...

:)Thank you. Thank you. May I please sign up now? I'd like to be an 'sw', the first half of S-W-A-P. Can I send in squares for the joy of giving and participating and not receive any back? I'm not really in a position to receive them.
I'm confused. Can we use pink in this swap or not? I made one square with a pale pink flower, then dark green and with a purple border. I won't use any more pink until I know what we are doing. Meanwhile, I hope to make squares for Writer's class, too, so if pink is out, I can send that one to her.
I joined this thread too late to participate and have enjoyed all the pictures, especially the dogs. I guess i'm one of those photo junkies. I hope some of you will post pictures of what you make with the lovely squares.
I've enjoyed this thread, too, although I joined too late to participate in the swap. I hope someone starts another after the holidays. I'm not in a position to.
The FAQ section has instructions on posting pictures. I'm not very good at it, but have managed. Hopefully I'm bette at caring for chickens than at posting pictures.

Smitty,
Thank you for the welcome. I love these crochet theads. I don't know about bad chicken enablers, though. Our girls are so good, may it continue.
Smitty,
Thank you. You've made me feel most welcome. I'll look for a granny square opportunity after the holidays.
I love to crochet, but am not very sophisticated. Presently I'm working on a table cloth which might be nice enough to post when it's finished. I'm also making a bunch of hats...
