Forgot this little guy! He's kind of rust and black mixed. I think he'll be quite handsome. Not 100% sure it's a he but I think so. Edited to say he's also 3 weeks younger than the rest.

Sorry to hear about your hen - that is very sad. I am sure your daughter will just love the new chicks to pieces though. Hopefully that will help lift her spirits (and yours!) I think we are going to the Iowa City show but I probably won't bring anything to sell because I don't have purebreds...

We are definitely going to the Iowa City show - sounds like fun. We are just starting getting into poultry and enjoy seeing all the breeds and deciding what we'd like to try.

I have another one pipped right now, and another one that looks like it broke the membrane inside, so hoping it will pip soon. I think the other 3 eggs are not as ready - their air cells are still too small for imminent hatch. :-)
