Thank you, Gabrielle. I must say though, the camera does lie a bit. The brooder is made out of plywood, it looks nicer than it really is because of the way we painted it, lol <shhhh> xD Yeh, I decided I wanted the Serama indoors. Loads of folks don't agree with it but the way I see it...
Oh...my...goodness. Those are beautiful, they look like little cherub chicks. o.o I hope you post pictures as they grow. Wowee they certainly are lookers.
Ugh, I was hoping she would pull through. I'm so sorry for your loss. Any idea why she might have wandered all the way to the other end? How are all your others doing?
Ahhhh! Well thank you for the explanation, because I took another picture later and the spots were not there - I couldn't figure it out. lol! I definitely believe the floating dust particles...they've been dustbathing all day in there so it makes perfect sense lol Thank you :D
Yeh, but the last time I used them for that purpose I got my head bit off. They're supposed to be used for posts that are informational and helpful to the reader...yadda yadda.
x2 Even if it were real (which it isn't) the eagle did let go at a reasonable height with regard to the extent of injuries that may have occurred, but it's still scary to think about it. I do know that hawks and eagles both - pick up small dogs very frequently, so the probability of this...
looks pretty stinkin' real to me as well, but they're insisting it is indeed 3D animation. They attend Centre NAD in Montreal, Canada...you might be able to find out what programming they used, etc...to make the vid; I really don't know. :)
..you can also see that the same camera is showing...

...it's a fake.
I'm just glad that it is. :)
Oh thank you for letting me know, it really shocked me...kind of made me think of the "Dingos stole my baby!" incident (which later turned out to be factual). I'm glad this was just a film project with some special effects. Ooftah.
Thank you for all the lovely compliments. :)
....and y'all have got to see this. I don't think I've ever seen anything so scary in my life (yet). My gosh. Blinkin' eagle just flew off with a baby. Bah...pm me if you'd like the link please, the person recording the vid says "Oh [bleep]"...
We finally finished the Serama room today...I'd like to go back to bed now. Brand new camera and I have no idea where those spots are coming from. :( I cleaned the lens with lens cleaner and the stupid things still show up. Might need to go get a refund/replacement. =/
That 'thing' next to...
Yes, I called and verified. They were processed 12/19 at 6am...processed again for good measure 15 minutes later (approximately)...but departed the post office prior to the second processing. Whuuut?
...processed 12/20 at 6am....at the same exact post office, 24 hours later.
I'm...
I just realized it's December 20th and there isn't even 1 little stitch of Christmas decor anywhere in our house!! oopsies
[Edit] My husband said, "Well we sort of do, there's a fat chicken in there," and he points to the Serama room...and I'm like..."what does a fat chicken have to do...
I have to admit, with the glow of the incubator and the placement of that 'ring' on the bottom - at first glance I thought that was a hard-boiled egg and I was going to say uhhh...hehehe
The last time I had one that pipped like that - it ended up looking like a shredded fabric softener sheet...
