How about coyote/fox or other predator pee. Check the local sporting goods store. How about trying the bitter deer deterrent sprays (kinda like bitter apple dog spray but for deer). I would check garden centers for deer deterrent spray.

Jvls1942, I would love to get that much, but I also dont want to haggle with people And prove why its worth that. All chicken folks totally see value in a solid, well kept coop. Thanks all for confirming my ballpark.

Cluckerfamlily, I would like to charge more, but a quick sale this fall might be nice not having to store it. But again spring chick crazyness might mean a better odds of me selling it.

To add to the bee attack list..... spoiler alert...... not attacked but close call. Back story: we are in the process of converting an old 70's pop-up camper (starcraft brand). We started to gut it, found some white/black fuzzy material shredding bees in a bench. They had been a little angry...

It is crazy windy here also. I have a popup greenhouse with our garden seedlings in it. I had to take it all down today and bring it all inside. I am worried it would be blown to the next county. I hope the wind calms down. Our flock was hiding inside today.

How about pot & pan trivets; Key ring holders too. Both these items are hard to find these days that are also made well. Everyone hunkering in for a cold night? I blocked off 2 large vents (still left 2 other) on the windy side of the coop.

Thanks for your insight. We are giving them a little extra high protein treat daily. Mix it up, cat food, low sodium salmon, venison scraps, cooked eggs. They still look pretty pathetic.

Ugh this cold already! This is our hens first molt & our first time experiencing it. We have 7 (5 molting, 2 pullets). 3 of the 5 are having a hard molt. They are about half naked. Do we need to do anything special with this early cold. We do not heat the coop.
