Oh Craigslist, You Amuse Me So!

A lot of people spell it out, as it stops it from being automatically 'hidden' by Craigslist and also makes it harder for automated phone number harvesting bots to grab... People do the same with email addresses, but spelling out 'at' and 'dot'

Yep, I agree and it irks me to no end when people list a 'free' pet on Craigslist with a $100 or whatever re-homing fee, what part of free involves payment in these peoples minds? Also, I believe a lot of these people really need to accept that once you sell or give something away like a pet or...

As I said it's not an Araucana, it's not even half Araucana as it lacks the blue egg gene that is dominant and thus would express itself in any hybrid or half breed...

So much wrong with that ad... It's not an Araucana, it likely not 'organically' raised if they are foraging for stuff in what is likley an uncontrolled environment and it lays peach eggs, meaning it lacks the blue egg gene altogether... It's just a $5 barnyard mix house chicken, nothing more...

Oh Craigslist, You Amuse Me So!

The word was used appropriately as it has more than one definition and it doesn't mean the person has had horses just because they used the correct word... From Merriam-Webster...

Yeah, I agree not a hint of Pyrenees visible in that dog, more likely just a barnyard mutt with maybe some Aussie in it...

IMO no it's way overpriced for what it is... It's also just barely big enough for 2 standard sized chickens, probably only 1 realistically as the coop area appears to only be 3x3 or 9 square feet, when you subtract two nesting boxes that easily puts the coop under the recommended 8 square feet...

Done carefully, candling causes no harm... Lockdown's only real purpose is to serve as a mental minder the eggs are due to hatch soon, and thus act as a mental minder to turn off or remove automatic tuners (to prevent injury from said devices) potentially increase humidity (for easier hatches)...

Yeah if you don't have a reliable family member or reliable close friend (reliable being the key word) it can be quite costly to pay someone to take care of them... I know for me it's been a pain to find people (that I trust to be reliable) to take care of my birds and other animals and collect...

I use a Statutory Agent aka Broker that registers it in my name with their address in Maine, this is the agent I use, and I have nothing but good experiences with them https://mainetrailerregistrations.com/ The initial reason I sought them out was that I had purchased a vintage (1970s) trailer...

Oh Craigslist, You Amuse Me So!

I kind of wish it was so 'exciting' it was merely an ad for a perfectly legal snake and enclosure, nothing more... The only 'exciting' thing about it is that I'm waiting for my renewed plates in the mail to arrive for the trailer, so technically it has expired tags and I of course don't want to...

So today I replied to a CL ad and made arrangements to swing by and purchase the item that was advertised, between 6:00-6:30PM it was to be a surprise for my daughter so the whole family was with me... We show up at the house and the local Po-Po is at the door talking to someone inside and...

I admit I might not have a clue to the value, but it it's anywhere near the asking price, I'm guessing an collectors auction house might be a better alternative... Or someone is very optimistic... http://milwaukee.craigslist.org/clt/5500598773.html

I think it's Common Core Math, it's not about the right answer it's how you get there... And it goes something like this... Four chickens get 12" of roosting space , eight chickens get 6" of roost space and 'more' chickens get 'enough' roost space... .

For field fence, wood corners and wood gate openings are much easier to work with and much more cost effective, I use steel T-post in between the corners... Since I'm currently renting (and there is no way I could ever afford to purchase the property) there is little reason for me to invest in...

Fence post are high on my priority as I need to stretch some more fence this year... I like it when I find 8-16 foot treated 4x4s on clearance, since I'm going to bury 3 feet in the ground and leave 5 feet exposed, generally I can bury and/or cut off most of the twist and bend and still come...

Oh trust me I have done and do the same, and I spent many years working as a carpenter and have the skills to do much better, but sometimes cost and practicability rule the coop... As of late I have been picking up a lot of 'clearance' wood at the local Home Depot, they sell it at 70% off and I...

And I'm not knocking it for build practicality or build cost, but I wouldn't call it hand built quality that rivals what you can buy as I have seen some very decent (albeit costly) commercial coop kits that use better materials...
