CJ tell them to go scratch
That was very nice of you to offer to replace them and the least they could have done was pay the shipping...some people
And by the way your packing/shipping is great! I already told you this but I hatched 7 out of the 8 Sulmtaler eggs you sent me and from...
Yowser! I could never eat my eggs- If I cant hatch them they get sold or given as extras in swaps
My Legbars lay some big eggs also
73 grams to be exact
That is a regular Black Copper Marans egg (not a pullet egg either) next to my Cream Legbar egg. These are my typical size also- not...
Any place that deals with livestock should have it. Here in NY I use Agway but Tractor supply sells it also. Check wherever you get your feed, it is normally in the horse section.
The shelving unit is definitely heavy but doable. I was able to get it in/out the car myself (I have a minivan and it fit fine). I think it weighs about 60 ish pounds.
And If anyone needs poop management help you seriously need to check out my poop boards

2 of these will hold more chicks than the GQF brooder and cost you $200.00 no shipping

I just brought some water nipples that fit on the end of soda...
I brought a metal frame kit that snapped together- 15 minutes tops to put it together- no tools. I made sure to get the one that had all those holes running down the sides because I wanted to use that to secure my hardware cloth.
This is the unit I used...
After getting my Brinsea cabinet I hatched waaay to many chicks and had rabbit cages, boxes and bins full of chicks everywhere
I needed to organize and was looking at those neat GQF brooders unfortunately the price tag was too much for me
So...here is my poor mans version of a stackable...
I will send you some of my Tolbunts as soon as the new group starts laying
They are a little over 3 months now so figure Summer sometime... I also have a really nice group (younger) growing out from Sonew123
Me too! I never thought my chicken obsession would be over shadowed by geese
They are like little kiddies lol. And no crowing...yippee! They honk but so far only when they get excited which is so cute and not obnoxious at all- unlike most of my roos
This is the only pic I have with me at work (and it's an old one, lol) but I will post some newer one from home.
We LOVE our Sebbies! They are the cutest things ever and I'm enjoying them even more than my chickens
The kids are super attached to them and spend most of their free time...
I have to say my last swap I added my Tolbunts as a claim for much later because the swap is very slow and people love Tolbunts. After I offered them I wanted to go back to edit because I felt very uneasy about doing so- considering I have lost chickens to hawks, fox, and raccoons you just never...
