What lines are your japs? I recently sold my breeding trio in the super and was so upset. I really miss this breed!

its fine! its always good to know about the breed your hatching. thankfully bot of my Japanese hatched out just fine, and they seem to have no problems! im so excited for their parents! I may sell eggs.....

huh. well, none of my japs ive ever hatched have had long legs so far. my breeder does good with his birds and every egg hatches with short legs. hopefully I have the same lick with my jap hatching now

yep. your right. sometimes there is a weird little gene that brings out those legs. I think japs with long legs look sort of cool because of the awkwardly short legs of the Japanese we are all so used to.

if you were planning on showing her it wouldn't be a problem. a friend of mine had japs where their tails are wry. his birds are some of the top ones in our state. this one has gotten high as well...saw it at the fair last year. don't know whose it is, but has a BIG tail!
