Sorry if it came off as harsh. I didn't mean for it to. But as we all know things you write on the internet don't always convey the feelings behind what your write. Just get frustrated as folks are right the majority of the posts on this thread are about EE's. No worries all breeding chickens is...
Hi folks. The birds pictured above are not Ameraucanas. Is there any chance you could move your discussion to the Easter Egger Thread? I started this thread for the discussion of SOP bred color varieties or project varieties of Ameraucanas.
This is an enormous amount of health problems to have had with chickens. I have never heard of shipping fever. I agree that the person shipping in birds probably had something in the flock. Or that you previously had a health problem with the flock. Any bird that shows any signs of respiratory...
Not on here much. Busy with school and work. I am well finishing my last semester up in Vermont. Have a farming job all lined up for after graduation. Still working with salmon faverolles.
Hi Stephanie Welcome! Glad your new Ameraucanas are doing well. Where did you get them?
I am really glad to hear about your faverolles. Check out the faverolles thread. Lots of good discusion on there about my favorite breeds. I would love to hear where you are ordering your LF faverolles from...

Thanks. I was thinking the same thing. His tail set is better and his feathering is fuller. I just wish he were a little bit quieter.
Hope you neighbors get used to it my suburban neighbors...

Oh I guess they are a mix. I thought you were saying all you had was female Ameraucanas and that EE rooster. I am sure everyone would be glad to help you sex the Ameraucana's. If they are all missing their tails you may need to reduce the number of boys you have. Glad your giving them a...

Umm, it looks like I see three black cockerels in those photos.
Yeah you have some boys there. Unless those hens were really undernourished. But I think they are just young boys.
