    In close quarters a 22 is lethal. It capable of massive internal damage.Because of the low velocity is it rarely passes through walls making it "safer" in urban areas. Personally I prefer something with more punch but 22 can be effective.

    They came in through the local pet/feed store. I just help them with the poultry care( they are more pet than livestock oriented) they handle the business end.

    Wisher My garden surrounds the coop and run. She can patrol the perimeter fence but not reach the chickens. I don't quite trust her unattended overnight. Even though she hasn't ever made a move before.

    Well no more ducks for me. I got Muscovies last year and ordered babies this spring, they were great. Followed me around and feathering out nicely. Last night a skunk broke in and took them all. I give up. At least he wasn't able to get any of the chickens. Traps are set. This is war.
