I cannot believe I am having to post questions again on here. Our big girls are now almost 22 weeks old and we got our first egg yesterday. Our little girls are almost 13 weeks old. The big girls live in the big coop and the little girls live in the chicken tractor that is inside the run...

    Coccidiosis Help!

It sounds like you are dealing with coccidiosis and a respiratory problem as well. The corid is only going to treat the coccidiosis.

    Coccidiosis Help!

I would definitely take a least one chicken to see the vet or do what ryanhodapp is suggesting and get a fecal test done. You do not know exactly what you are dealing with. You will probably end up spending more money treating the unknown than what it really is and possibly end up losing them.

    Coccidiosis Help!

Kathy, We have done 7 days of Corid treatment at the severe outbreak dose and today is the last day of 7 days of Corid treatment at the 1/3 of a teaspoon dose. What do you recommend now? We have heard to give probiotics and vitamins to help them recover fully from being on Corid for 2 weeks...

    Coccidiosis Help!

No problem. We had a hard time finding Corid and ended up finding the powder in the cattle section of our local TSC. From what it looks like from other threads, the vaccine is not 100% effective. Someone chime in if this information is not correct. Coccidiosis can kill quickly and I would...

    Coccidiosis Help!

Started Corid powder in their water at the severe outbreak dosage late last night when we saw another suspicious bloody stool. We haven't seen anymore and they seem to all be doing okay so far.

    Coccidiosis Help!

We have been treating our 10 and 8 week old chicks and I am proud to report that we haven't had anymore blood in their stools in the last 24 hours and they all seem to be back to their normal activities. Before we knew they were sick, we ordered more babies and they got delivered in the middle...

    Coccidiosis Help!

Thank you Kathy. Do we need to be doing anything different from what we are doing since we are still seeing occasional blood in stools? Are we seeing this because there was damage done to the intestines? Will it resolve itself?
