It passed away last night & it sucks. Everyone else is up hopping around. I couldn't get her to drink the electrolytes but at least it didn't suffer. Part of life is death & living on a farm it's expected.

I ended up with 12 out of 15 but 1 isn't doing well. There was blood in the shell & it was stuck. After a couple hours I took a warm rag & wiped the dried blood off it. It's not fluffing up so hopefully it will now. I layer it on some warm eggs in the incubator & figured I will check on it...

Thanks everyone!! Mr mouth did his job, I now have bantams out screaming!!! Ha ha I was suppose to have Cochin & silky eggs. They are marked. According to the eggs I have 5 Cochins but 2 are all white so I'm confused? Eggs miss marked or white Cochins?

Good god are Cochin Babtams super loud or did I just get a special one? I have 3 big kids out & 1 Cochin but I couldn't sleep cuz it just keeps screaming. So I opened bator & put it back in for the night. Another Cochin was hatched & 2 silky eggs have pipped!!! I should have a party by morning!!!

Yep day 19 & last week my 1st group hatched on day 19 & 20. I just thought it was odd that they are all going early. I am happy, as it means a staggered hatch is definitely doable!!! Since my incubator holds a 100 eggs it's nice to hatch out in smaller groups.

My 2nd batch if eggs in my staggered hatch isn't due till Friday. However when I opened incubator to turn my other eggs... I see 4 already pip & Zipping along. Is it normal for them to hatch early?

Day 20 & I've had 8 baby's hatch out!!! They are adorable!! 6 more possibly left to hatch.

My eggs are hatching!!!! 3 so far tiday with 4 more pips!! This is my 3rd try, the last 2 I had 100% fail. I have 11 more due now, 20 silky & Cochin due Friday & 15 Ameraucauna & Cinnamon Queens due in 13 days. Yes it's a staggered hatch & we shall see if it works.
