How's everybody doing?
I am almost ready to start setting eggs again. One of my repeat-offender broodies is at it again though. That has been my biggest obstacle. I could hatch all day long, but the hens just don't want to give up setting.
Is it just my birds, or is anybody else having this happen? Seriously- they are worse than my cochins and orps put together.
NOoooo my lavender is crowing now -_- ! In fact it crows every single DAAAYYY even though I already have a big RIR rooster
I guess I will have to find another lavender or black hen :/
Wow- had me fooled! I was looking at his back end and it looked so girly. He seems to have really good feather quality for a boy, so keep us posted how he fills out.

Good luck! He is easy to deal with. You might see if he is going to the Shawnee, OK show this year. It is usually in Dec. He sometimes has started birds he can part with at that time.

Ok so put in my order with Paul Smith for some black and lavender chicks for march! Soooooo excited! Thank you dak for the info i think my kids will do well next year showing these birds at least the black ones

Hmm ok I guess that would work! I am excited to get started on my lavender breeders its going to be fun with my kids!
