I have really been enjoying this thread and learning more about these gorgeous birds! I also wanted to give you all a heads up....there are some BEAUTIFUL eggs listed on ebay now! I would totaly bid if I had room in the incubator...and wasn't going to be away all next week on business

lol sorry got lost on the black feather part? is that for the yokohama?
cause as soon as i saw this i do see dark feathering in the tail
and in the pics you can see small parts of black feathering in the center
ok i took some pictures today of the pullet/cockerel in question
its clearly bigger

I noticed some black in my male's tail feathers today too. Mostly just some spash of color, but one or 2 feathers seemed darker than the others. Wonder if he'll have a full black feather too?

Sorry sorry that was rude of me! haha Here's some pics, they are still young yet.

Here's my first silkiexphoenix back in 04? Or 05. She was BBR over white hatchery silkie. She had a decent tail but I don't have any better pics of her since I sold her as a broody.
