Blue Laced Red Wyandotte THREAD!

Im hoping to get 1 or 2 of these eventually. I heard they a great and have a good personality.
They are beautiful! Mine lays really well, but as far as personality goes, she's a snob, lol, absolutely no touching or she sounds like you're killing her, lol. They all have their own personality, so you never know what you're going to get.

Splash/Blue Laced Red pullets and a black laced red cockerel I hatched at the beginning of this year. Very happy with how they look so far!

This hen tried to brood most of the summer. She was never very successful and I finally busted her after two tries in a row. Well she gave it another go and hatched out 10 chicks November 1st. Yes that is snow and we're having highs of mid 30's. The hardest part was getting them to use the ramp to get back into coop at night.

She's my worst looking hen and has narrowly escaped my aggressive culls. She likes to brood and finally figured out not to leave the nest for an hour each morning to feed and stretch. Now that she finally proved herself she can stay many years as my outdoor incubator.

I hope you hold onto the cockerel for a few generations. I'd put pullets in picture 1, 2 and 4 in a pen with him this spring and hatch every egg they lay. Then follow up with the best pullets hatched next year. Barring odd genetics from crossing two lines popping up you'd be onto a solid foundation of line.

Miss Hennie gave us such a scare this week! She had a mild prolapse and I was so stressed out we’d have to cull her (or worse, find her disembowelled in the yard 😩). A little steroid cream and crate rest after I pushed it back in, so far so good 🤞🏼 She’s laid several eggs safely since, but I’m constantly on edge still
