BYC Café

Thanks guys, i was sort of pretending it wasn't happening because i didn't want to face it. But when i found that pullet today that was dead but still warm i just felt horrible. I knew there was no pretending it was cocci or something. In fact i did treat them for cocci just in case. I did start giving them vitamins in their water and poultry booster in their food. And i have been feeding them any extra protein with our left overs.

I kind of wonder how long they will survive this. There are about 4 Speckled Sussex that look kind of anemic and just sit around. Others seem normal, they run out of the coop when i open the pop door and flap their wings. Then they start looking for treats. Sweet birds. The Polish seem to be doing well so far except the cockerel that died.
Just wonder if they will ever lay , or just keep dropping dead until they are all gone. Depressing prospect.

This is what our afternoon was for tree 003.jpg
