BYC Café

Good morning all, I'm bringing more coffee if anyone would like some.

Yesterday was so lovely, the family and dogs and I spent the day outside planting potatoes, onion, and leek starts, transplanting some garlic and tulip bulbs...half of a 40x50ft bed is started with food and I'm pleased. I washed dog bedding, made fried chicken wings, and am pleasantly sore today! I was so sad to have to come into the office instead of being home. We have pasture to overseed and dogs to wash and we've got 6 healthy Dorking chicks hatched. I have banding and cleaning to do and don't want to be at my desk, that's for sure!

Good morning Cafè. Coffee is ready.

I think I'll get the pond filters flowing today. The work is no where near done but at least the water quality will improve.

Another night where I snapped wide awake at 3:30. Read a little then gave up at 4 and got up, stripped my bed and started washing the quilt and soaking the last of Piper's stains out of the sheets, unloaded the dishwasher, cleaned the counters and just sat down to enjoy some coffee.

Bella closely monitored my activities and was very disappointed that, "I fed the dogs" was not on the end of this list of tasks. Sorry big girl, but you're going to wait until normal meal time.

I did it! :wee
What a relief. I didn't realize how stressed I was about it until I got it flowing and felt so much better.
The next goal is to finish the rest of it before we leave for the beach house on May 11.
Something tried to dig into the run, a dozen attempts around 3 sides.
Yay predator apron!

Predator apron for the win!

Rain coming tomorrow, with the slight chance of severe weather. I'll do indoor stuff like make bone broth.

Hubby will be driving from Charlotte, NC, to Pittsburgh tomorrow. He's bringing home a lot of his mother's genealogical research that his brother had saved for him.

She did a lot of research, some for hire for other people, all before ancestry.com and the internet made it so anyone could easily search through their family tree.
