Glad to see this thread pop up again! I made thewe water heaters several years ago and have been using the same ones each winter. My coops have lots of birds in them and the waterers are the 13 gal type--works GREAT even when it's -20 outside! Make one...you wont regret it! Terri O

I've been reading this and plan on making a similar device for our chickens. The question I have - what are people going to use now that the incandecent bulb is no longer going to be made?

Yeah!!! Thank you for reviving this thread.

Our barn has a box with 10-12 old, but still nice cookie tins that we have moved from pile to corner and back again with the threat that they were going with the next dump load.

Can't wait till DH sees this. Yes, I know another project, but so much cheaper that buying.
