I have another chick in question, comb has been wider since day 1 but I haven't seen much as far as development goes, now getting some darker red than I'm comfortable with on the wings. They are 4 weeks old, the one I'm worried about is the white with orange barring.

it's very early to tell much at this age. It looks like it has some ISA Brown, (Red Star, Production Red, Cinnamon Queen, etc.) in it. That could be the source of the red. I had one with some uneven color. It took a while to confirm female, but even though it was uneven, it wasn't really dark. Keep an eye out for darker areas that are splotchy -especially if they look more red than brown.

That's not quite the right shade. The rooster red we talk about is a deep, dark rusty red. Like this boy's overall color. Most only get this red on the shoulders and wings, though.
