Yes! He has slept most of the day, lifts his head but doesn't even try to stand. i really hope he is gonna be ok. I love him so much already.

I am on day 37 with my egg, and here is a video of the wiggles. I love the egg so much. I know, that sounded strange. But it moves and shifts and all of that so I love it

It IS SOOOO exciting when your emu egg FIRST WIGGLES! I totally flipped out when my emu eggs wiggled! Because everyone didn't think they would hatch, even the person who gave me the eggs for free wasn't totally sure. And thanks, I enjoy dabbling with photography here and there lol. I just get a kick out of it. And I don't have a "very nice camera" But I like it

. It's a SLR, Canon Rebel T3. They take pretty modest photos for the price you pay for them, But I did take the emu shots with a cheep macro lens, When I buy a nicer wide angle lens for it. That will really increase the quality of the shots.

I had one hatch Saturday am from Jan 27 He still isnt up drinking on his own yet, I hope this is normal.He is my first ione ever. They are so adorable.

that is not unusual, they still have enough of a yolk sac to sustain them for 3-5 days. It is more important to get them drinking than eating initially.

And he still is not drinking on his own yet, I do give him drops of water during the day and I have shown him where it is.

try dicing up some tiny pieces of greens (collards or kale) and floating them in its water bowl. They will often peck at the greens and find the water. This trick will often get them eating and drinking...

Oh how cute!!! Seven more days before mine hatches. I cannot wait. It wiggles and I can hear it scratching around in there.
