Yeah, I hear ya! We lost KiKi to sudden death on the 22nd of April .. fine when she went to roost with the flock and gone when I checked on them in the morning

I still miss her so very much.

Just some suggestions:
Several hatcheries sell frizzled Cochins. I see them in my area on Craigslist, small animals swaps and yard sales. You might also see if your feed store will let you post a wanted sign.
