I just dropped a roof board on my foot

I have nowhere else to whine about it. The entire weight of the 4x8 plywood board fell down on my foot while I attempted to put it up to protect it from the rain. (I'm in the process of building the coop, roof not up yet)

It is swollen and really hurts, I'm home with the four kids and no car.

That's all.

Not to mention that the coop building has been going super slow since my back's been out in March (it went out when I tried to keep my baby chicks warm in my shirt during the ice storm, I had a partially slipped disk that bulged badly and haven't recovered feeling in my left arm yet.

These chickens are going to kill me :p

If you can get some comfrey leaves to make a poultice and hold in place with cloth or even plastic wrap, it will bring down swelling. Comfrey is also known as "knit bone". It's an easy plant to grow, although it can get a bit invasive over time. I've been seeing it at local nurseries and even plant vendors at farmers markets.

The homeopathic Arnica gel from the health food store is good for swelling and bruises, and even muscle soreness from overwork.

I know my post is a week late, but I hope you're doing better.
