Lucy laid her first egg! And we ate it!

I know it! That tooth fairy had a few beers the night before and forgot to visit my daughter until the next morning when my daughter asked about the tooth fairy! I had to call that fairy and tell her to get over here quick!


Lucy laid another egg this morning! Egg number 5, right on schedule! Every other day. Boy, are they delicious!

LOL A few beers and I thought the tooth fairy only drank hot tea.. boy is my image ruined. Number 5 wow enjoy.

Yes, positive it was her, I saw her get up off of it. Moose has never sat in that corner before, she just stands by the food all night LOL She did not lay one today though, so that's good. I cleaned out the pen tonight real good, added more bedding, fresh food water etc. They seem quite happy

But But Moose could have laid the egg got up and moved away then Lucy went an laid on the egg. Them girls can be pretty nutty. Just saying. You need a game camera set up out there. lol

My goodness she really is, make sure she has a good supply of oyster shell and greens to keep up with the calcium.

They get fresh greens every day. Their daily green are 2 heads of romane, 1 head of Escarole, and 2 of the fancy purple lettuces. They also get Chickory lettuce, dandelion leaves, green leaf lettuce and butter lettuce. They also get a fresh ear of corn every day. I tried shredded carrots, didn't like them. They used to like watermelon, now they don't. I tried honey dew and cantaloupe, nope. Picky eaters!
