Owning chickens in a township where they are illegal?

Here is what the ordinance says about chickens:

"The keeping of any animal, bird or fowl which emanates frequent or extended noise which shall disturb the quiet, comfort and repose of any person in the vicinity."

That may just mean no Roosters, which is the case for me. I am allowed hens, but no roos. Also had to ask my neighbors, who graciously all said yes. They enjoy getting free eggs as a thank you.

They don't want complaints coming in that's why it's good to ask neighbors if they are ok with it. I did this at first then one neighbor moved a.new family moved in. I didn't ask them but they run a day care out of there house so I guess I put up with the kids they put up with the chickens. I lost my rooster so only hens.
