This is our White Plymouth Rock cockerel, Captain, at 5 months old. We think he is so handsome!

I have RIR chickens and thinking about adding some PR to my flock, I was just wondering are they very well at laying? Fertility? RIR x PR cross?

My rocks are my best layers next to WL. Eggs are not as big as others but they lay almost everyday. If you cross a RIR cock with a BR you will get black sex links.

Yay I think I have more babies in the progress my young hen that started laying a while ago has gone broody and is sitting on 15 eggs here she is she is 9 months old and getting ready to be a mummy

It could be a genetic defect. Could he have been feather picked? I have several roosters that get that when they are with a lot of other roosters.
