Ringneck Pheasants- post your pics or questions.

No the ringnecks will kill your red golden.Thats the problem now, everyone is cross breeding the birds and you killing off years of pure birds. Before long you will not be able to find a pure bird. They are disappearing in their native countries rapidly. Were supposed to be trying to save pure species, but no one cares if they can make a buck at it.It to bad to pure birds are so beautiful, people fall in love with the pure birds and then they need to change something.

Breeding Pied with Pied will produce Pied offspring but also some solid colored birds or birds with a small amount of white.

Thanks Randy!

Keeping any two types of pheasants housed together is VERY variable.

Depends on the types you want to house together, aggressiveness of the individual males, size of the pen, season, etc.

It's pretty bad when you would rather be looking at the beautiful pheasant photos with a cup of tea ,looking at the clock saying"I've ten more minutes 'til I need to GET BUSY and clean the house, cook some dinner". Ha.
Thanks for posting them!

Afghan White Wing Ringnecks (not the best pictures, plus the males have their tail feathers broke off)
