Mostly what I hear is that ducks and fish live pretty well together as long as one species does not outnumber the other. As long as the pond water circulates through and doesn't dry up, the ducks should be great weed and larvae eaters....I don't forsee you having any problems, just always remember that too much of one species in an area that isn't large enough is never good....I think your numbers are okay though. That said, Runners are my absolute fav, I have 2...

Blondiebee, it looks like you have a little cutie in that second pic trying to get your attention! Pretty ducks! We have a black Runner that looks to be a drake. Unfortunately, we didn't handle the ducks enough and they hate being picked up

Thanks! They're 3 months old. I got them from eFowl and after hearing some bad things I was a little worried, but they've been completely healthy and good looking. *knock on wood*

Do my ducks need water at night?
My duck is in the roost shed for about 12hrs ( from 6pm - 6am ). It is Winter so they are all in bed longer.
She is an adult duck, not laying at the moment.

I feel twelve hours is a bit long to go without. Eight or ten, even, but twelve, well....

I leave water in with my ducks all night. Here is what I have
