Ok guys, question. We bought some Orps a couple months back and I am curious about the cuckoos. Do they color like a barred Rock? I mean are the females dark and the males lighter.?
First, congrats on the Crele egg! Yeah! Mine aren't old enough to lay eggs yet.....dang!

Now on the Cuckoo question.....no they aren't like the Barred Rocks....the hens and the roos are both marked the same and are both vibrant in color. I do have 1 cuckoo hen that has a touch of chocolate mingled into her feathers because her dad was a Chocolate and her mom was a cuckoo.
