Are Rhodebars in any way related to Dixie Rainbows?

I guess just because reading thru this thread the coloring seemed to remind me of Dixie Rainbows. Had never heard of Rhodebars before reading.

Some Dixies are gold based barred columbian, but that is where the similarities stop. Rhodebars are Autosexing(wildtype e+, sex linked barring) Rhode Island Reds(at least that was their intent)

Is there anyone around the Oklahoma City area with Rhodebars for sale?

Fertilized eggs, chicks, or full grown.

We used to have them a couple years back before something decided to kill them all... Tried some different breeds and just really want to go back to Rhodebars.

Here is something I've been thinking about. Why couldn't you go with an eb based rhodebar instead of e+? Wouldn't Mh darken it enough to tell the difference at hatch? And wouldn't it be a lot cleaner looking and closer to the original rhode island red? Just wondering.

Are there any rhodebar breeders in the portland Oregon area? When I did a google search I only came back with GF farms and papa's poultry in Redding.
