Id say rooster, as I have 3 6 week old pullets who have no red in their combs

Do all SLW have such large combs at that age? Or is that just a rooster thing?

I think only the roos. The ones I have their combs are non existent at this point.

Looking for personal experiences. I have a flock of large egg layers and wanted to add some SLW to my flock, the few people that I have spoken with have said that they are excellent layers of jumbo eggs. Is this the case for you all as well? Can you show me pictures of your SLW eggs? And tell me what you all think of them.

I can first thing in the morning. I have 2 layer SLW and three young pullets who are still in the brooder box.

Eggs are nice, but my one olive egger lays larger than my Wyandotte's.

I have some easter eggers too! In my grower coop. And all of the easter eggers that I have raised up have laid the biggest eggs!! So nice! Can't wait to see!

I have three in the mix lot of 19 i had from Rural King. Had 20 total but one was sick and died within hours of coming home. So sad.
My remaing SLW are adorable. Only about 2 weeks old. Here is one eating some bread!
