What treat did your chickies get today?

I know you mean differently but..... I like lettuce and cabbage and most greens but dont care to eat spinach. Same with my chickens!

My chickens love just about all greens (I don't give them tomato greens), in any form, sliced, diced, whole, or even finely chopped and put into suet blocks or muffins.

Read on here somewhere about yogurt. Had some stuff in the house a low carb yogurt from frys / kroger, vanilla. They couldn't eat it fast enough. I am learning much about treats and such and the obvious joy they show when stuff like that goes on is great to see. I am learning much in general from this site and things will be changing as soon as I can for our 4 birds. Not terrible but definitely not being treated as they should. I'm trying to make up for lost time.

About once a month we buy a head of green cabbage and I drill a hole thru it and hang it up. It is a blast watching them play tetherball with it. We have 28 girls and it is gone within two hours.

I cleaned out the fridge today so they got gluten free pizza,hash browns,potato sausage, chicken and some scratch.

This is my first year so I'm a newbie......but I'm learning more and more that chickens are great garbage disposals!! I love it.
