What treat did your chickies get today?

Dried Mealworms. They get them every day, morning and evening.

My Banana Bread muffin that was stolen from me this morning while I wasn't paying attention :/
Sprouts, dried meal worms and a dog biscuit that I break up for them. (Not the milk bone type, Plato's Farmers Market, its soft)

Oh my..... I was always told sugar was not good for chickens.....How did they like it?  Is it a one time thing or do you give sugar often?

It was just a one time thing. I figured the sugar would be ok given that sometimes when a chicken is sickesh or needs pep, they recommend sugar water. Funny thing is they wanted it until they got it. After a couple pecks they didn't want it anymore.

Such is the trend of the chicken. Grab it before someone else gets to it and then once you have it and have run away to a hiding spot....decide it really isn't so great!

the 3 weekers got apple slices for the first time omygosh the chaos! The bigger ones got apples and a head of lettuce.

I love the keep away games that go on with treats. Especially when everyone has a treat and they're still all running away with it even though no one's chasing them.

Ours are getting strawberries tonight and they're digging through their fresh straw looking for hidden grain.

I love the keep away game where one grabs a treat and every one else chases even tho there are more treats just sitting there!
