Oh my! I'm reading this forum in preparation for getting my hens (5 ex batts, coming in March!) And I'm thinking they will have to compete with the dog...

His favourite treats are cucumber, apple, carrot, cabbage, and persimmon. I'm not sure how he will feel about sharing!

Ha! His regular food is not at all vegan (in fact it's chicken...) but he does enjoy his fresh veggies. I can just see him getting narked if the hens get more greens than he does!

My Lab is jealous of my hens, too. The other day she tried their scratch feed. Her response was hilarious

One of our cats loves chicken feed too. It doesn't matter if it's layer or chick starter, dry or fermented, she will eat it as soon as you look away.


The birds got graham crackers this morning.
