History: Ash was born to a Tervuren she-dog in a typical breeding kennel, along with her four siblings. Having never met her father, Ash grew up with Fern as her sole parental image, and therefore her adored mother. She and her sister, Storm, formed a particularly close bond as pups, and she was elated when they were sold as a pair.
Not two days later had her joy melted into despair.
For they had been sold as guard-dogs.
Ash's puppyhood was brutally ripped away from her as she was forced to train under the cruel rule of a drunk. He beat het and her sister mercilessly, and let them go days without food- turning them into starved, human-hating beasts. For many, tumultuous moons, Ash and Storm suffered, but masked their pain by living a life of rage and distrust. Perhaps the only thing that kept them alive was their sisterbond. Continual infections and the corresponding fevers overtook them as a result from the innumerable, festering wounds they received from the whip. Both nearly lost their lives multiple times. Eventually, hope was beginning to dissipate completely, until a massive silver wolf showed up at their fence one day. Not exchanging more than a few greeting growls, he dug down into their pen, and created a perfect escape tunnel. Upon completely his task, the mysterious stranger fled, leaving Ash and Storm utterly stupified. Ash was the first to come to het senses, and bounded out of the pen with puppish glee.
She failed to see or warn her sister of their approaching owner.
A hand clasped down onto Storm's scruff and dragged the weaker female back into the pen, flinging her clear across into the wall. Ash prepared to barrel back into the pen when the ominous click of a cocked gun responded.
Her heart, as well as her shoulder, tore in two as she fled the deathstick-
Fleeing her sister. Forever.
After many moons of aimless wandering and incoherent mumbling, an emotionally and physically scarred Ash stumbled upon the freed pets and began trekking with them, following them at a distance, offering none and being asked nothing.
Her heart will forever lie in that rusted pen with her sister.

History: Ash was born to a Tervuren she-dog in a typical breeding kennel, along with her four siblings. Having never met her father, Ash grew up with Fern as her sole parental image, and therefore her adored mother. She and her sister, Storm, formed a particularly close bond as pups, and she was elated when they were sold as a pair.
Not two days later had her joy melted into despair.
For they had been sold as guard-dogs.
Ash's puppyhood was brutally ripped away from her as she was forced to train under the cruel rule of a drunk. He beat het and her sister mercilessly, and let them go days without food- turning them into starved, human-hating beasts. For many, tumultuous moons, Ash and Storm suffered, but masked their pain by living a life of rage and distrust. Perhaps the only thing that kept them alive was their sisterbond. Continual infections and the corresponding fevers overtook them as a result from the innumerable, festering wounds they received from the whip. Both nearly lost their lives multiple times. Eventually, hope was beginning to dissipate completely, until a massive silver wolf showed up at their fence one day. Not exchanging more than a few greeting growls, he dug down into their pen, and created a perfect escape tunnel. Upon completely his task, the mysterious stranger fled, leaving Ash and Storm utterly stupified. Ash was the first to come to het senses, and bounded out of the pen with puppish glee.
She failed to see or warn her sister of their approaching owner.
A hand clasped down onto Storm's scruff and dragged the weaker female back into the pen, flinging her clear across into the wall. Ash prepared to barrel back into the pen when the ominous click of a cocked gun responded.
Her heart, as well as her shoulder, tore in two as she fled the deathstick-
Fleeing her sister. Forever.
After many moons of aimless wandering and incoherent mumbling, an emotionally and physically scarred Ash stumbled upon the freed pets and began trekking with them, following them at a distance, offering none and being asked nothing.
Her heart will forever lie in that rusted pen with her sister.
