All about Lemon-Drop
Here’s a whole lot of information about me, for anyone who is curious or just bored!
I’m not going to share anything overly personal though.
My real name is Charlotte. I don’t have any real nicknames (that go off of Charlotte) but I do go by Lemon, Lemon-Drop, and also ‘Sushi’. Sushi was a nickname given to me by my older sister when I was little. I don’t know why, though. It stuck, even though I hate sushi. My birthday is on October 28th. I won’t say my age, but I’m a minor (less than 18) but obviously old enough to be on this forum!
I’m Starbursts (another member on here) twin sister. We love each other, but can definitely argue a lot! We’re fraternal twins.
We have a lot of differences, including favorite educational subjects, social skills, and physical features.
I love to learn, whether it be facts about chickens or facts about cells. I was in an alternative public school. There were lots of fun classes, and parents were heavily involved.
I’m currently interested in pursuing veterinary medicine. I love animals, and medicine, so I guess it makes sense.
While I don’t have much experience, I give my sisters dog (Oliver) his monthly injection of Zycortal for his Addisons. I’ve also intubated chickens, given my flock oral medicines, helped with equine dentistry, and a couple other things.

Oliver:
Oliver is a miniature apricot poodle. He has a love for food. It seems that’s what keeps him going! He doesn’t really like to exercise, and is a big clumsy goofball. He’s 11 years old now, and slowing down. He has Addison’s disease, degenerative disc disease, chronic yeast infections, dietary indiscretion, and some other problems.
We love him so much! He loves eating anything he can: dry wall, cords, pencils, bags of dried beans, poisonous mushrooms…
He loves to help me cook.

He sleeps in my bed and keeps me company.
Finley:
Finely is a toy poodle. He is kind of a drama king. He knows to go potty outside, but ignores it
He has a sensitive tummy, so we have to be careful of what to feed him. He’s a half-brother to Oliver, and also 11 years old.
He’s pretty athletic

Jerry
Oh my goodness. Jerry is the sweetest! He’s a well mannered Golden Retriever. I don’t have a picture right now though.
Charlie
Charlie’s my neighbors dog, who I go and visit when I’m sad. He’s a rescue lab mix.
Kylie
Kylie’s my grandparents dog. She’s a mini Aussie. She’s super sweet and energetic, and I love her! While I’m there, I usually brush and play with her.

Cupcake’s my buff Brahma. She’s sweet, but huge!

Safaia:
Safaia is my Sapphire Gem. Safaia means Sapphire in Japanese
She likes to peck at the mole on my hand… I think she thinks it’s a bug. It hurts!

Nutmeg is my buff/partridge Silkie. She’s pretty sweet. She’s just about a year old now. My nickname for her is nutter

Momo
Momo’s an axolotl. She’s an adorably dumb baby!
Hedgie
Hedgie unfortunately passed away in May at the young age of 1. She developed WHS, or Wobbly Hedgehog Syndrome, which is a neurological disorder common in hedgehogs. It has no cure and slowly paralyzes them. Once her quality of life diminished, we made the difficult describable to euthanize her. Rest In Peace, little girl.
The Parakeets.
I have two budgies named Mango and Dandelion.
Fish tank
In the fish tank, there’s 2 goldfish, a snail, and a bristle nose pleco.

Part 2 My BYC experience
I joined BYC for a couple of reasons.
First off, Starburst (my twin sister) joined when she first got chickens, and had been asking me to join
Second, I was just about to get my first chicks. I was excited, and wanted to share my experiences, pictures, and receive advice!
Third, I had been eyeballing it online. I had looked at hundreds of threads, and finally decided it was time.
My username, Lemon-Drop, comes from my Girl Scout camp name. Starbursts also comes from her GS camp name. People can call me Lemon-Drop, Lemon, or Charlotte. Whatever you want is fine, as long as it’s appropriate.
I’ve been in this community for a little over a year. I’ve met many people, judged contests, written articles, helped others… so much! I love it here. Currently, this is the only social media account I’m active on. Im so grateful for all the welcoming comments, help I’ve received, and all the fun on here! While there’s plenty of arguments, the moderators do a great job of taking care of it.
Thank you to all the staff/moderators/project managers/volunteers!
And thanks to all the members on here!
I’ve already written a couple articles, and have 7,000 plus posts. I can go pretty crazy! I have a lot of threads too.
I’m not super active in PMs, but I’ll still respond. I am on almost every day, but just know that I may not post anything.
