I built this brooder to keep in my kitchen. My dog Teddy is fascinated with the chickens now that they are big enough to fly up to the perches and can be seen through the chicken wire window at the top. The lower half is covered with 18 inch high wood in an effort to keep my dog out of trouble. The only way to get in for cleaning is through the side window. I should have made the top able to open as well. A strip of wood goes across the top to hang the heat lamp and water font. I think the brooder is about 20 inches deep by 30 inches wide. And it's tall. Maybe 30 inches tall. It sits on two little tables to keep it up high. I keep supplies under it on the tables. It holds six chickens.
