My wife purchased these chicks from a weekly ad paper in which locals post items for sale called "The Valley Trader" (I don't care for the paper myself,, she's always buying something out of the thing we don't need, lol) Any way, there was an ad about these babies from a local small farm. They were $1.00 each straight run. Breeds? Who knew? The farmer's wife said "They're just chickens" lol
She brought them home and they lived in our bathroom for what seemed forever.. I have to admit they were cute fuzzies though. As you can see, they turned out quite healthy, not one died. We had no clue about their breeds, even though mixed. As it turned out, most was part aracuna. Others were whatever, but they all were bantams. Being a straight run, around 50 percent ended up roosters.
