2-3 lbs. chicken thigh strips
1 tbsp sesame oil
2 tbsp dark soy sauce
2 tbsp cognac
1-2 tbsp diced garlic
1 tsp. black pepper
1 tsp. 5 spice
1 tbsp diced ginger
2 tbsp honey
1 tbsp brown sugar
1/2 cup Hoisin sauce
2 tbsp sesame seeds

Cooking Instructions

1. Bring chicken thigh strips to room temperature. 2. Mix together sesame oil, dark soy sauce, cognac, diced garlic, black pepper, 5 spice and diced ginger. 3. Coat chicken thigh strips in mixture and let sit for 30-60 min. 4. Heat a large wok and coat in sesame oil. 5. Put chicken into wok and cook until lightly browned on all sides. 6. Mix together honey, brown sugar, and Hoisin sauce. 7. Add to chicken in wok and stir together quickly and heat till chicken is fully cooked. 8. Garnish with sesame seeds. 9. Enjoy with jasmine rice and your veggie of choice!

Note: All ingredients can be adjusted to taste so experiment with what you like. When cooking chicken, use a higher heat and lower it when the sugar parts are added to avoid burning.
