I have a harness, but was worried about putting it in. It was good to see the pictures, because all those straps look intimidating, and who wants to scare their chicken while they try to get it all straight? I will try it out this summer, on my BO, who is calm like Kiwi!

Fanastic pictures. Kiwi looks like she was a sweet bird. Where ever you are walking her it looks gorgeous!

Nicely done! Good pictures and text. A great job on getting the photo angles right showing what you're explaining. The first picture shows all the parts of the entire harness really well, so it is easy to place what one is looking at in the the later photos. Thank you for writing it!

I've got to hide this article from my kids or all our birds will be on leashes instead of free range. :lau

LOL! It's fun!
Great demo - both the pictures and the text. On a side note, you can make your own out of a head harness used to restrain dogs that pull. Gentle Leader makes one, but it's pretty pricey. I got a knock off on eBay for $1.99, USD. The key is to snip the threads that hold the muzzle piece together - so that the piece around your chicken's neck moves freely. Then you turn the harness upside down, open up the other loop and pass it under the bird's wings, like in this article. Works like a charm for two bucks and free shipping ... and my roosters go everywhere - to school, to TSC, to the dreaded vet. It's fun!

Thank you! Yes, it IS fun!
I'm laughing at myself as I type this. I'm completely against the idea of taking chickens for a walk on a lead.:lau
Please add even just one picture of taking a chicken for a walk on a lead. It's something in life I have never seen.:D
However, it seems people do and this article explains very neatly with some great pictures (lovely looking hen) how to fit the harness. It's a very good article and I would suggest entering it into the current article contest. It's unique!:clap
Could you please add the price of this to the article and get busy writing an article on how you train your chickens to walk on a lead.

Thank you so much! I will right a training article as soon as I have more time. (Probably in the next few days.) I will add the price right now, and I will get a picture of her walking on it! Thanks again,
