Adorable pictures! Great info! On a side note, DE will definitely cause issues with humans if you're not careful and breath a lot of the dust, however, chickens don't live long enough to develop problems from it, or so I've been told.

Good article! Be aware that DE, in my and others opinions, while may prevent mites, will do nothing to rid them of mites if they are impacted by mites. Additionally, DE is a respiratory irritant for both birds and people, as well as being very expensive.

There is an objection to using diatomaceous earth since it can cause serious lung issues in chickens and more importantly, people.
Please check before considering using this product.
