Modify chick feeder for less mess and no feed waste

I actually used this very article many months ago with my first ever chicks. It was simple to do, materials listed and pictures very helpful. Most of all the modified feeder worked perfectly and prevented a lot of scattered chick feed.

Great ideal. Thanks for the information. Those little chick feeders like that get more feed spilled out than what the chicks eat, but not now.

This is a great idea! My chicks have always made such a mess in their bedding with their food; I'll definitely be using this trick when the newest batch of chicks arrives.
