My second hatch of Serama.

Looks like you wound up with a beautiful roo and two lovely hens

I'm going to be perfectly honest with you; at 6-7 weeks, it's still nigh impossible to determine what color a Serama will be once they've fully feathered out. You'll have some ideas about the color, like I can see that the roo is black and has some lovely green sheen coming in. The one girls looks to be very light, possibly white? Or a light cream? And the other has that great light coffee color I've been dying to get in my flock!

I'm just going to give you a quick "for example":

If you had asked me if I thought THAT was what he was going to wind up looking like I've had told you no. He'd have been re-homed and it was only because my friend noticed his blonde saddle and hackle feathers that we kept him just to see what he'd look like. I'm SO glad I did.

So with that said, if you know the GENETICS of the parents, you can usually get a decent idea of what possibilities may pop up. But at this age, it's just so hard to tell until they have gone through their molts.

Update on my two beauties

Wanted to update showing how beautiful my little ones are now... a bit mucky nut still gorgeous haha. Still no idea what they may turn out like.
