The Journey of Chicken Keeping - No Experience Necessary! (But Lots of Research Required!)

Lovely story! At the time of reading this, I’m in my first few months of ever raising chickens, and you’ve really captured the excitement and fear of letting them run free for the first time, and then the heart-squeezing cuteness as you watch them run around and play. Everyone should get to know what this feels like!

This is one of the jewels I’ve discovered as a result of binge reading Shadrach’s ex-battery thread (I’ve started when the thread is 531 pages long, am not quite half way caught up ).

IMO, this is worthy of publication in a general interest sort of magazine. Iluveggers has cheerfully and succinctly described what many of us discovered when we gingerly stepped into the World of Home-kept Chickens. The photos are icing on the cake.

So good of you to share your story. I hope it gives others the confidence to meet these wonderful animals. Well told. I enjoyed it very much.
